How SaaS buyers end up reading our threads

SaaS buying starts with a question typed into Google or ChatGPT: the best data room for a seed round, a DocSend alternative, how to train staff who never open the LMS. The answer comes back built from a short list of citations, and Reddit threads fill most of them. Whoever wrote the threads wrote the answer, and today that is usually a stranger or a competitor.

For Papermark we posted 85 threads and 45 comments across r/datarooms, r/sysadmin, r/selfhosted and the DocSend subreddit. In three weeks the engines cited Reddit 476 times on its buying queries, and 266 of those were ours. For Arist we have written 142 threads since April 2025, 73 of them in r/arist, the subreddit it owns, and in nine weeks those drew 2,882 citations. Threads from 2025 are still being cited a year later, which is the part an ad budget can't buy.

  1. 01

    One buying question per thread

Titled the way buyers ask: "best X for Y", "X vs Y", "is X worth it". That is the exact shape Google ranks and AI quotes.

  2. 02

    A subreddit in your name

In someone else's sub a moderator decides what stays up. In yours, nothing gets removed, and a thread there is cited 24 times on average against 7 for one nobody tends.

  3. 03

    Named accounts, no vote games

Developers and operators smell polished marketing from a mile off. Plain talk from a real person in a thread beats a landing page, and it is also what keeps the sub from getting banned.

  4. 04

    Count every citation

Each thread is tracked in Promptwatch: where it ranks and which AI answers quote it. You see what works, and we write more of it.

All subreddit guides

Get started in three steps

  1. Step 1: Apply in two minutes

Tell us the company, who buys from you and what you want Reddit to do for it.

  2. Step 2: Talk it through

On the call we look at where your buyers already talk and the searches worth owning, and tell you straight if it's a fit.

  3. Step 3: Approve the first drafts

We write, post and moderate. You sign off each week's drafts and see what ranks and what AI answers cite.

Good fit, bad fit

Reddit only works where a real conversation already exists. We can earn you a place in it. We can't invent it, so we check before taking your money.

You need results this month
You can give it 90 days
Nobody can approve a draft or sit for an AMA
Someone signs off drafts every week
The real problem is the product

FAQs

How fast does a SaaS subreddit rank?

Threads we write reach page one of Google in about 30 days, often 7. AI citations follow in about 90. Papermark's first position-1 citation came two days after the post went up.

Will Reddit ban us for marketing?

Not when the community is real and the threads answer questions people actually ask. Bans come from anonymous accounts and vote manipulation, which we don't do.

What does it cost?

The subreddit engagement starts at $5,000 a month. See the pricing page for what's included.
