The short answer
r/Retatrutide publishes no karma or account age requirement, but Reddit's own filters remove about a third of new posts before anyone sees them. The only two written rules are about vendors: naming one, abbreviating one or linking a vendor site gets you banned. What is left is a fast room, close to 100 posts a day, made of progress photos and plain questions about side effects, switching from other GLP-1 drugs and what to expect. Post from an account with some history and keep anything about where the drug comes from out of it.
Who posts here
Regulars write in shorthand: reta, tirz, pin, titrate, food noise, BAC water. Nobody explains it. But first-week questions and worries about a first injection get kind, practical replies and are not told to search. A beginner question stays up, it just competes with a lot of others.
- People with a lot of weight to lose posting before and after photos and monthly updates.
- Gym-goers and bodybuilders using it to cut fat while trying to keep muscle.
- People switching over from tirzepatide or semaglutide after a stall or bad side effects.
- Newcomers about to start who want to know what the first weeks feel like.
- A smaller group following the trial results and news about the drug itself.

These are the rules as archived in January 2025. Rules change. Check the sidebar before you post.
The culture
r/Retatrutide is a progress log and a help desk for people taking a drug that has not been approved yet. The sidebar is one line, the rules are two lines, and the community runs on personal reports. It is busy, about 97 posts a day with a typical post getting 14 comments, and the tone is warm. People cheer each other's numbers and answer the same first-week questions over and over without getting short about it.
Two formats dominate. The top of the subreddit is almost all progress photos with a short caption: starting weight, current weight, how many months, and sometimes the routine behind it. The rest is short text questions, about 76 words, a third of them phrased as a question in the title: a strange side effect, a stall, appetite coming back, how to move from tirzepatide or back again. Side effects get discussed in plain detail, from sleep and heart rate to constipation and mood.
The fault line is where the drug comes from. Most members are plainly not getting it through a trial, news about deaths linked to black-market product gets posted and argued over, and comments regularly say quality varies. But the rules ban any naming of sources, so that talk stays vague on purpose. A second, quieter argument is about the mental side: some posters report flat mood or anhedonia, and those threads draw long, serious replies.
What lands
- Before and after photos with the numbers written out: starting weight, current weight, height, months on it.
- Long updates that give the routine as well as the result, such as diet, lifting and how the dose changed over time.
- Honest progress that is slower than the headline posts, which gets a lot of encouragement.
- Trial results and news about retatrutide or the drugs competing with it, which start the longest comment threads.
- A clear description of an unusual side effect, asking if anyone else has had it.
What gets removed or ignored
- Any vendor name, abbreviation or hint. The rules make this a ban, not just a removal.
- Links to vendor websites, which carry a permanent ban.
- Reddit's own filters take about 35% of posts, the single biggest reason a post disappears. The reasons are not shown.
- Moderators remove about 4% of posts by hand. The removed posts are blanked, so the reasons are not visible.
The unwritten rules
- Give your numbers. Age, sex, height, start weight and how long you have been on it get far better answers than a vague question.
- Talk about the drug, never about the seller. Even a hint at where you got it puts your account at risk.
- Comments are short, around 18 words, and almost never carry a link. A link in a reply stands out.
- Be kind about weight and bodies. The posts are personal and the room is supportive, so a dig at someone's size or pace reads badly.
- Frame questions around what happened to you. Replies are mostly people saying what they did, and a question that asks for the one right answer gets a dozen different ones.
Self-promotion
There is no general self-promotion rule. The two rules that exist are both about vendors, and both end in a ban. In practice anyone selling the drug or anything near it has no way in, and a brand or founder has little reason to be here at all. Posts that are clearly personal, with real numbers and no product, are the only kind that get traction.

Common questions
How much karma do you need to post in r/Retatrutide?
No number is published and there is no AutoModerator message about karma. But Reddit's own filters remove about a third of new posts here, so a new or empty account is much more likely to vanish. Comment for a while before you post.
Can you name where you get retatrutide in r/Retatrutide?
No. Both rules are about this. Naming a vendor, abbreviating its name or linking a vendor website gets you banned, and the rules describe the ban as immediate or permanent.
Can I promote a product in r/Retatrutide?
Not in any way that will last. There is no general self-promotion rule, but anything that looks like selling the drug runs into the vendor ban. The posts that do well are personal progress reports and questions, with no product in them.
What kind of posts do well in r/Retatrutide?
Progress photos with the numbers written out are the most popular posts by a wide margin. Long text updates that explain the routine behind the result, and news about the drug's trials, also draw big threads. About 79% of posts are text and 19% are images.
Data as of October 15, 2026. Numbers come from public Reddit data (the Arctic Shift archive and GummySearch) sampled on this date. Removal share counts posts taken down by moderators, AutoModerator or Reddit's own filters. Banner and icon belong to the community.
