The short answer
r/TirzepatideRX publishes no karma or account age requirement, and there are only four rules. About 95% of posts stay up, no flair is needed, and the room is mostly progress photos and practical questions about doses, side effects and maintenance. Talk about where to get tirzepatide is allowed only for doctor-prescribed sources, and overseas or research peptide talk is banned. Spam earns a ban without warning, so post as a patient with real experience, not a pitch.
Who posts here
People in their first weeks ask what to expect and get kind answers. Many members use compounded vials, so syringe units, vial life and dose splitting come up without explanation. Basic questions are welcome, but a post that asks the room to make a medical decision for you, like tapering off without your doctor, can come down.
- Patients on compounded tirzepatide comparing doses, vials and how their provider handles things.
- People on the brand-name pens, often after insurance stopped paying.
- Long-term users in maintenance, working out how to stretch or lower a dose.
- People weighing tirzepatide against semaglutide or retatrutide.

Play Nice
We are cultivating a friendly and fun atmosphere where people can feel comfortable asking and sharing very personal experiences. Be nice to other subreddit members. Report any internet bullies.
These are the rules as archived in January 2025. Rules change. Check the sidebar before you post.
The culture
r/TirzepatideRX is a smaller, friendlier room than the big brand-name subreddits. About 46,000 members, close to 30 posts a day, and a typical post gets around eight comments. The rules ask members to keep things nice so people feel safe sharing very personal experiences, and most threads read that way.
Text is about two thirds of posts and links about a fifth. The top posts are progress photos with a number attached, like 100 pounds in 30 weeks or a first day under 200. Day to day it is practical questions: is this side effect normal, did I draw the right number of units, how do I find a maintenance dose, should I split my shot.
Because many members pay out of pocket for compounded tirzepatide, provider talk is everywhere: prices, shipping, customer service and refunds. The rule allows sourcing info only from doctor-prescribed sources, and the line it draws is research peptides. Retatrutide sits on that line. Some posts comparing it with tirzepatide stay up, and some are removed.
What lands
- Progress photos with starting weight, current weight and how long you have been on it.
- Honest posts about the downside, like loose skin or not feeling as happy as expected at goal.
- Practical reminders from experience, like a post telling people they still need to eat properly.
- Posts pushing back on the idea that using the medication is cheating.
What gets removed or ignored
- Research peptide and overseas sourcing talk, which the rules say gets subreddits banned.
- Complaints about a single provider, refunds or order problems. Several removed posts were like this. Our data does not show the reasons.
- Posts asking whether to change or stop a dose without a doctor.
- Duplicates. One story was posted three times and removed each time.
- Spam, and comments soliciting DMs.
The unwritten rules
- Expect skepticism if your account is new. Members are used to shills and say so.
- Give your numbers. Dose, weeks on it, starting and current weight get better answers than a bare question.
- Comments are short and plain, around 20 words, and only about 2% carry a link.
- Members swap provider names all day, but a post that reads like a review written for a company gets picked apart.
- Keep it kind. The rules ask members to report bullies, and the room is gentle with people who are struggling.
Self-promotion
The only rule is no spam, backed by a ban without warning for anyone whose profile shows a spam history. There is no carve-out for founders or providers. In practice the room is full of provider talk from patients, and members are quick to call out anything that looks like a company posting as a customer. If you are building something for people on this medication, say who you are, ask a real question, and leave the link out.
